Laurence was born in Paris and was raised in London. She studied at Pickard School of Garden Design followed by a Postgraduate course in Landscape Architecture at Birmingham UCE.

At the Chelsea Flower Show 2001, Laurence was part of the team awarded silver medal for “The Tastevin Garden.”
